Deputy director for cultural activities Auksė Kapočiūtė-Vaitkuvienė and curator Vidmantas Kazlauskas participated in the international residency of cultural workers and creators from Ukraine, Poland, Sakartvel and Lithuania in Ukraine "Art in the Time War: Traveling Residency". Three cities Lviv, Kyiv, Chernivtsi have been visited during the traveling residency. With the international residency team (Nino Gunia-Kuznetsova (Sakartvel), Barbara Żarinow (Poland), Bohdan Polishchuk, Oleksandr Manshylin, Oleh Oneshchak, Tetiana Rudenko, Roman Lavrentiy, Svitlana Oleksiuk, Daryna Olshanska - Ukraine) participated in six public discussions on topics such as : "The importance and experience of preserving artistic heritage during the war", "War as a catalyst for revaluation and the birth of a new optic of artistic heritage research", "Theatre during the war - a shelter or an art center?" The Relevance and Relevance of Theater in Wartime", "Drama or Comedy? Searching for suitable topics and methods of communication with the viewer" and others. Participated in two meetings with students studying art majors. Familiarized with five performances created during the war, artists' works at exhibitions and the artists themselves. Visited the Museum of Theater, Music and Cinema of Ukraine in Kyiv.
Ten air danger sirens were heard. There was no need to hide in hiding places, but it was necessary to wait in safe places. Because of this, the performance was delayed an hour in Kyiv, but the theaters adapted to such circumstances. If the performance or other event is delayed due to weather hazards, it starts, depending on the order chosen by the theater, an hour or even much later than scheduled.
The residency was organized and all thanks for the valuable experience and time to the Scenography Gallery Галерея Сценографії (Ukraine).
